About the Workplace

Uddevalla Adult Education offers Vocational Higher Education programs adapted to the needs of the labor market. We also offer commissioned training.

We are now expanding our teaching team with a position for the programs "Support Pedagogue in the Field of Disability" and "Specialist Nurse in Elderly Care". The teaching team needs to be supplemented with an educational leader and instructional competence; specifically within pedagogical leadership in care and elderly services, as well as the area of law and documentation within social services.

Responsibilities

As a teacher, you will teach adult students at the vocational higher education level. In addition to teaching, your responsibilities include organizing and developing our courses together with the work team, following up on students, and maintaining contact with working life. The education is 40 weeks full-time, where we meet the students three scheduled days a week. We teach two days digitally and one day on-site in our premises at I17.

As an educational leader, you are responsible for the following:

• Ensuring planning, scheduling, grading, and admission of new students.
• Leading the work team in the continuous development of courses and programs.
• Coordinating work with representatives from working life.
• Ensuring LIA (Work Integrated Learning) placements in collaboration with the management group and the support function for praktikplatsen.se.

Some of our success factors are our work in reflection groups with teachers and students. In the teaching team, we are involved in all courses during the educational year, where commissioned training may also occur. We also use mentorship where we follow each student individually. You will work to ensure that students, through their professional role, make a difference in people's lives.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is proactive and flexible, with good collaboration skills. We believe you have worked for a few years as an occupational therapist or physiotherapist, have experience in municipal operations, and possess both knowledge and experience in the field of disability.

We place great emphasis on the personal qualities required to function well in the profession: that you are structured, independent, have good collaboration skills, and are goal- and result-oriented. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team and is passionate about learning, development, and education in a learning organization.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Licensed occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or a degree in behavioral science, social work, or equivalent.
• Experience from municipal operations.
• Knowledge and experience in the field of disability.

Merits

• Vocational teacher.
• Experience in training/supervising staff in municipal operations.
• Experience working in regional/municipal habilitation.
• Experience as a caseworker or manager within LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Disabilities) or elderly care.

Other Information

The work team consists of existing staff and new recruits. We are looking for someone who can contribute to both of our programs.

Interviews are planned to be held during the application period.
